(Top West Virginia high school wrestler)
The Dutton Award is named for Robert Dutton, a 1940 graduate of Weston High School, who served as an assistant wrestling coach at Parkersburg High School (1951-56). Dutton was head coach of the Big Reds from 1956-76, during which he guided the program to seven state team titles and was twice named West Virginia wrestling coach of the year. The recipient is selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association and the award is given to the state’s top wrestler.
